Notable R-Rarity Shikigamis
You have heard about rarity is not everything in this game, but truly, which R rarity shikigami is a real keeper? In here, let us feature some notable shikigami you should be watching out and the reason why you will want to make it a part of your team.
She is highly essential in many skin instances due to her Life Link skill. She helps in your survival when enduring painful boss skill which normally 1hko your units. She is also required for players who intend to opt for Scarlet Vampira / Shuten Doji.
Any long term player will have Ame Onna in their hand. As of current patch, she is one of the only two shikigami who can actively remove debuffs from your team (another being Juzu). You will need her in crossing certain skin instances and obviously, to fight against CC (crowd control) shikigamis in PvP. Additionally, she is a popular nemesis for Shuten Doji and Koi.
Your typical speed puller. Depending on situations, she is more favourable than SR Kamaitachi as she requires only awakening and 2 onibi for her skill. A 162-163 speed Yamausagi is necessary for Soul 10th floor farming, so all players are expected to train one eventually. Yamausagi are also known to be a hard hitter with her Ring Toss skill, but it is definitely not advisable for players to pursue that. Still, that doesn’t stop you for making one for entertaining purposes like the video below:
A negligible shikigami for new players. Hitotsume shines in PvP as he can kill any powerful foe with his reflect skill. A good Hitotsume has exceptionally high HP, making him a good tanker with Soul Edge set.
Zashiki is an achievement reward for a reason – She generates onibi. She will be needed in Soul farming, and although debatable, an optimal Zashiki in public party is expected to have 127 speed and 4-piece Azure Bazan.
A famously nicknamed ‘grass daddy’ (草爺) in Chinese version. Her heal is based on attack power, and her normal attack leeches HP. She is widely used as a healer in early-mid game before players invest in Momo. With Scarlet, she can be undying in many cases.
Generally a PvP unit for those who intend to AOE taunt his foe. He can also be useful in disabling monster skill when it comes to skin instances. Heiyou’s taunt is considered as soft debuff as it can be cleared with Ame Onna, Juzu and Ebisu’s banner.
A PvP unit like Heiyou. Tanuki solo taunt instead of AOE, and most importantly, he has hard debuff. In another words, there is no way to clear its debuff other than waiting it to wear off by itself.
Only keep him if you want to
use a shota form a revival PvP formation. Oguna is one of the few units with S rank HP and he can literally survive any damage thrown to him. Combine Momo with him, and you will have an undead team under your command.
Ushi no Toki
Ibaragi Doji’s girlfriend. Ushi no Toki is usually used with Amanojaku Aka to buff up Ibaragi Doji’s damage. There are also players who use her in Kraken to quicken the kill. Other than that, her uses are limited.
People keep Tesso for financial reason. You won’t be seeing him in instances or PvP, but you will notice high level players using him when they level up fodders for shikigami upgrades. An awakened Tesso generates extra gold upon winning a battle, and that is a huge plus when your gold is depleting.
